Inspired by surfboard shaper Skip Frye’s 7-foot-range fish designs, Rob Machado began exploring the concept of a "long fish" after experimenting with an extended version of his Go Fish model. While that early iteration showed potential, Rob sought to refine the design further. He eventually reimagined the beloved Seaside quad-fish, lengthening its outline and fine-tuning its rocker for enhanced versatility and flow.

The result was the Seaside & Beyond—a board that quickly became Rob's constant travel companion. From playful 1-foot beach breaks to hollow reef barrels, the Seaside & Beyond has proven itself capable of excelling in a wide range of conditions. Rob’s personal quiver now consists of just two boards: a 5’4” Seaside for snappy, high-performance surfing and a 7-foot Seaside & Beyond for its effortless glide and dynamic maneuverability.
