Firewire Surfboards Dominator 2.0 Volcanic

The Dominator II is an exciting update to a classic. Since its debut in 2008, the original Dominator has been a key part of my quiver and the Firewire lineup. The DM II is a modern take on the original, designed to perform in a wider variety of conditions while boosting overall performance.

The most noticeable change is the switch from a round tail to a squash tail. The rails have also been refined for a more performance-oriented feel. The concave remains the same under the front foot but transitions into a subtle double-barrel and V shape out the last 5” of the tail. While I usually rely on a round tail for smooth rail-to-rail transitions and turns, the squash tail is delivering that same fluidity, along with added release in turns
