What can we say about McTavish & McTavish surfboards?
One of the very first and original world-renowned surfboard shapers.
With the family tradition safe in the hands of his son Ben McTavish and in between them over 100Years of shaping experience.
Not since last year when we showcased the McTavish Sugar Glider had we seen anything as classy as this Nose rider. This beautifully crafted longboard surfboard is finished in such a deep Emerald green resin tint and a high gloss polish. It will look as good here as it would do in any line up including Noosa where it was shaped by Bob McTavish himself.
It now sits proudly in between the new McTavish Fireball Evo II and the Thomas Bexons models straight from Noosa completing these beautiful Australian imports.
Bob McTavish description of the Noserider
In the glory days of California surfing the Nose rider was the flagship, the banner carrier, the número uno. It smacked of Detroit with its extravagance of foam and stringers, of beautiful, coloured resin panels and oversize fins. An elegant tanker that trimmed along like a long-stroke V8 through sloppy sections and weak walls. The classic Noserider still appeals for all the previously mentioned reasons. A beautiful cruiser with all the tricks added. Take four steps or two and hold that pose for as long as you can, on tiny waves or up to waist high. Lots of board = lots of glide.
