MCTAVISH FIREBALL EVO II 2021

What can we say about McTavish & McTavish surfboards?

One of the very first and original world-renowned surfboard shapers.

With the family tradition safe in the hands of his son Ben McTavish and in between them over 100Years of shaping experience.

The Fireball model has been around for many years now, and has been a surfer’s favourite from the start, and was quickly established as a most versatile longboard out there.

MCTAVISH FIREBALL EVO II

Description best left for Bob McTavish itself is as follows

The Tail: Under your feet there is an engine zone built with stiff rocker and double concave to offer speed and drive. The rocker increases behind the back foot, allowing steep drops without catching the nose. You'll find the fins located under the back foot for easy pivot and drive.

The Mid-Zone: Step forward two steps and you'll find parallel rails, flatter rocker, and bevelled rails to supply easy walking stability and clean trimming for every level of surfing skill. Plenty of trim speed here makes clearing fast sections a doddle.

The Nose: Come all the way forward and the 19" nose with blended concave delivers great nose-riding opportunity and exceptional steering from off the nose. Easy to perfect the two steps to the trim zone, two more to the nose, the Fireball's four-step routine has become the benchmark of longboarding technique for over two decades.

The Fireball Evo 2 is the current and latest modification to this proven design, with a touch less nose rocker and slightly added width. It's one of those, "If it isn't broke don't fix it", but with these minor tweaks they keep the Fireball EVO 2 at the cutting edge of longboard design.
